From the moment that Draymond Green started shitting on The Thunder’s post-game interviews during the regular season, the way they all gathered to celebrate like a bunch of kids after summer camp, my money was on the OKC Thunder to win it all this year. My “spidey sense” told me that if Draymond was looking over his shoulder like that, throwing shade on a young team for doing nuthing but trying to share the love, the Thunder had something special going on. They looked great all year and went through the ups and down of a grueling post-season to win their first Finals, the Thunder did. During that process we learned a little about the grit of the team, but also that the Thunder’s prescient and brilliant GM Sam Presti had released a hip-hop album back when he was in college at Emerson in the late 90s. Thanks to
who released an expose about that hip hop album, “Milk Money,” I probably know more about Sam Presti than I ever wanted to. I’m not sure if that makes me a more competent person, but I’m definitely never going to un-remember it. Congrats to the 2025 NBA champion OKC Thunder. And have a gr8 week :)Clip from the episode (*recorded earlier this season)
